Counting on CPA Day of Service

More than 230 OSCPA members and volunteers gathered across the state to participate in the annual OSCPA CPA Day of Service on October 24! This year, volunteers supported impactful causes at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Emergency Infant Services, Wings Special Needs Community, as well as several other local organizations. 

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma 

Over 130 volunteers served at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during two shifts (including volunteers for HoganTaylor's Impact Day), where they packed 2,350 total boxes (72,776 pounds of food)—equal to 60,700 meals—to help their senior resources program—food for seniors who are facing food insecurity. 

Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma 

Another great group Oklahoma CPAs headed to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, where they sorted and packaged essential food items, packing a total of 14,194 pounds of food—or 11,828 meals—and helping ensure families in eastern Oklahoma have access to nutritious food.  

Emergency Infant Services

New this year, we partnered with Emergency Infant Services in Tulsa to help organize donations. Volunteers sorted nearly five pallets of donations, making supply bags with diapers, formula, and clothing easier to assemble for the families they support. 

Wings Special Needs Community

We also partnered with Wings Special Needs Community to help keep their facilities fresh and clean, creating a more welcoming space for the individuals and families they serve. 

Goodyear Halloween Party

Cameron University accounting students and professors joined Goodyear’s annual Halloween Party, volunteering their time to support the community through event registration, children’s activities, and loading donations for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
