Making Every Moment Count During CPA Day of Service

More than 130 OSCPA members and volunteers gathered across the state to participate in the annual OSCPA CPA Day of Service on November 1! This year, volunteers supported impactful causes at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, OKC Beautiful, Junior Achievement, Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma, as well as several other local organizations. 

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma 

Nearly 80 volunteers served at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during two shifts, where they packed 4,764 boxes of lightbulbs and set a new record by preparing 29 pallets of food—equal to 20,300 meals—to help families across the state who face food insecurity. 

Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma 

A great group of nearly 35 Oklahoma CPAs headed to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, where they sorted and packaged essential food items, packing a total of 5,480 pounds of food, and helping ensure families in eastern Oklahoma have access to nutritious food before the winter months. 

OKC Beautiful

Members joined OKC Beautiful for a LitterBlitz at Oklahoma City's Wheeler Park. Armed with gloves and trash bags, volunteers collected roughly six large bags — nearly 300 pounds — of trash. Helping with the conservation of the community space, playground, and ballpark. 

Junior Achievement

New this year, the OSCPA partnered with Junior Achievement’s Finance Park to inspire financial literacy among students. Volunteers guided 36 high school students through hands-on activities that demonstrated real-world money management, giving them essential skills to help prepare for their futures.
