Q&A with BRAYN Consulting

OSCPA: What information will attendees take away from your session?

Pinzone: Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of recent legislative updates impacting key specialty tax incentives—specifically 45L, 179D, cost segregation, and the R&D credit—and how these changes can translate into real, tangible savings for businesses and property owners.

OSCPA: How did you come to be an expert on specialty tax projects (45L, 179D, cost segregation, R&D)?

Pinzone: I started my career with an inspection firm that conducted the third-party verifications required for these incentives. We later merged with a specialty tax firm, where I transitioned into managing these projects firsthand—working closely with clients and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes. I have experience with these incentives both pre and post IRA and have been managing specialty tax projects going on my fourth year.

OSCPA: What makes your Lunch + Learn session unique?

Pinzone: Our goal is to make the session highly interactive and easy to digest—breaking down complex topics with real-world examples. Given all the recent legislative activity, this is a great moment to bring everyone up to speed and highlight opportunities that might otherwise be missed.
