McAfee & Taft Names Kim Howard as Controller

McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has named Kim Howard, CPA, as its new controller. In her new role, she will oversee the financial and accounting functions of the firm and is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, operational analysis, internal controls, and tax information reporting.
Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Howard served on the executive management team of the Dean McGee Eye Institute for more than 26 years, most recently serving as the organization’s vice president of finance and chief financial officer for nearly 12 years. Her career experience also includes working in various accounting and benefits administration roles with Fleming Companies, then the nation’s largest grocery wholesaler, over 13 years.
Howard graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma Christian College, is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the OSCPA.
