OSCPA's CPA Advocacy Day isn't just a chance to connect with lawmakers—it's a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting and advancing the CPA designation. Take a look at some of the moments we captured at the Oklahoma State Capitol during this year's event.
We started by hearing from OSCPA members Rep. Gerrid Kendrix, CPA, and Rep. Cody Maynard, CPA, whose words reminded us why our work matters and the impact of CPAs on Oklahoma communities and in the legislative process.
State Auditor Cindy Byrd, CPA, also stopped by to share her thanks for fellow CPAs.
Sen. Dave Rader and House Speaker Pro Tempore Anthony Moore provided their take on the need for CPA involvement in the legislature.
We finished the day celebrating the passage of HB 2736—a bill that expands the CPA profession by removing the residency requirement and implements national background checks for applicants seeking CPA certification—which will now go to Gov. Stitt.

This year's CPA Advocacy Day was a great reminder that CPAs have influence in our communities and at our Capitol. When we show up, speak out, and stay involved, we help move the profession and our state forward.
