The OSCPA's annual Past Chairman's Council Dinner, Oklahoma Tax Institute and Board of Directors meeting gave members plenty of time to network and engage with fellow members last week. Catch up on all of the festivities in our recap below.
OSCPA's Annual Past Chairman's Council Dinner
The annual Past Chairman's Council Dinner was held at the Ranch Steakhouse in Norman, Okla. on November 30.
Seventeen past chairs attended the event with guests to enjoy fellowship, dinner and drinks while celebrating another successful year of accomplishments at the OSCPA.
Past Chairman Committee Chair Phil Brockhaus, CPA, kicked off the event by welcoming all who joined. OSCPA Past Chair Christy Sughru, CPA, (2020-2021) presented Immediate Past Chair Sharon Haley, CPA, (2021-2022) her official past chair name badge; and OSCPA President and CEO Blaine Peterson, CPA, gave a brief update on the Society and its current initiatives.

Oklahoma Tax Institute
The OSCPA's staple Oklahoma Tax Institute was hosted December 1-2 in Norman. More than 250 attendees joined both in-person and online to attend the Society's most comprehensive tax event of the year.
Attendees had the opportunity to earn up to 16 hours of CPE and CLE credit throughout the two-day event.
Speakers included OSCPA members Ted Blodgett, CPA; Jason Oelrich, CPA; and Jimmy Williams, CPA. Other popular speakers joining the event included Jennifer Benda, Eric Kehmeier, Chris Kuehl, Tony Mastin, Bruce McGovern, Allison McLeod, Mark Rogers, Mel Schwarz and Adam Sweet.
