Networking and CPE beyond the Sooner State

When Oklahoma's temperatures hit the 100s, the OSCPA hit the beach!
Last week, 180 CPAs traveled to Gulf Shores, Ala. for the OSCPA's Beach Conference. The group stayed at the eco-friendly, sustainably-designed Lodge at Gulf State Park, where attendees enjoyed quality CPE provided by the OSCPA in conjunction with the Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA) and the Alabama Society of CPAs (ASCPA).
Attendees earned up to 20 hours of recommended CPE from several quality sessions, including a professional issues update presented by OSCPA CEO and President Blaine Peterson, CPA; ASCPA CEO Jeannine Birmingham, CPA, CGMA, CAE; and LCPA CEO Ron Gitz, CPA, CGMA.
When they weren't earning CPE credit, attendees and their families hit the beach for hiking, biking, kayaking and relaxation.
Immediately following the Beach Conference, the OSCPA Board of Directors packed their bags for Santa Fe, N.M. for its annual Board Retreat.
In the Land of Enchantment, the OSCPA Board stayed at the historic La Fonda hotel and enjoyed the beautiful sights of Santa Fe between the Board of Director's Meeting and other Society activities.
