Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Agency does not offer remote or telework. Position is on-site in OKC, OK.
Essential Functions
- Directs all finance-related operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash management, audits, tax, purchasing, and facilities functions.
- Develops financial reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.
- Oversees compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations; implements new policies and procedures.
- Conducts cost analyses and identifies opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Develops and updates financial procedures, manuals, and training materials.
- Supervises Finance staff, providing direction, evaluation, and performance management.
- Prepares agency-wide annual budget and manages Finance team budget.
- Coordinates audits, prepares draft financial statements, and ensures timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Maintains strong relationships with banks and financial institutions while safeguarding internal controls.
- Represents the Agency in public meetings, seminars, and stakeholder engagements.
- Participates in strategic planning and development of business plans.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leads and manages supervisors and/or finance personnel.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, assigning work, evaluating performance, and resolving issues in accordance with policies and laws.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expertise in governmental and bond accounting.
- Strong knowledge of finance principles, budgeting, reporting, and financial controls.
- Ability to interpret regulations, prepare financial statements, implement accounting methods, and manage audits.
- Strong analytical, supervisory, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting systems, spreadsheets, and word-processing tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 6–8 years of financial management experience; governmental accounting preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Valid driver’s license and bondable.
