Accounting Manager
About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing family office in Oklahoma City, is seeking a highly professional and experienced Accounting Manager. This individual will provide trusted accounting oversight, financial guidance, and operational leadership to support multigenerational wealth management. In this role, the Accounting Manager will navigate sensitive and complex financial matters with sound judgment, discretion, and a high level of emotional intelligence. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare schedules, journal entries, and review/approve financial documentation
- Manage internal and external audit requests
- Monitor department performance and identify process improvements
- Analyze financial data and prepare complex reports
- Lead or support various accounting and finance projects
- Oversee personal finances, investment activities, private foundations, and related initiatives
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professionalism and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience (management experience preferred; family office experience a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum 3.25 GPA)
- CPA certification required
- Strong tax knowledge, especially with individuals and trusts, preferred
- Experience working with multi-entity structures, including trusts, LLCs, and other legal entities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- ·Strong analytical, critical thinking, and process improvement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
