Director of Financial Reporting
Position Summary The Director of Financial Reporting will be responsible for SEC reporting and assisting in all areas of internal and external financial reporting and filings of the company. In addition, this position will develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal control over the financial reporting environment to ensure accurate and timely financial statement filings. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare SEC filings including 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and associated earnings releases
- Update iXBRL tagging for all required SEC filings
- Prepare financial analysis for reporting periods
- Performs research into accounting principles to develop accounting policies and procedures and provides proper accounting guidance regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
- Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the ERP system, Netsuite, and its relationship to financial reporting and analysis,
Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major, CPA required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
- A minimum of 5+ years in accounting and finance management, including SEC reporting and technical GAAP experience
- Capable of interpreting and explaining financial/accounting terminology and principles
- Highly developed computer skills, particularly Microsoft products
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Netsuite & SEC filing software
- Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
