6 - Associate

Any individual who is actively working towards the CPA designation and is not a full-time student. Individuals should meet some or all of the following criteria:

  • Part-time student working towards the 150-hour requirement
  • Enrolled in a CPA Review course
  • Exam candidate currently sitting for any part of the CPA Exam

1A - Permit (Public Partner/Shareholder/Person in Charge)

Fellow Member CPAs with Permit Any individual who is a CPA in the state of Oklahoma or any other state or territory of the USA and resides in Oklahoma who also holds a permit to practice public accounting.

  • Class 1A: Employed in public accounting as a sole practitioner, general partner, managing partner, shareholder or person-in-charge

1B - Permit (Industry/Government/Education)

Any individual who is a CPA in the state of Oklahoma or any other state or territory of the USA and resides in Oklahoma. Class who also holds a permit to practice public accounting.

  • 1B: Employed in industry, government, or education

1C - Permit (Public Manager/Senior/Staff)

Any individual who is a CPA in the state of Oklahoma or any other state or territory of the USA and resides in Oklahoma who also holds a permit to practice public accounting.

  • Class 1C: Employed in public accounting as a manager, senior or staff

1D - Permit (Retired/Unemployed/72 or Older)

Any individual who is a CPA in the state of Oklahoma or any other state or territory of the USA and resides in Oklahoma who also holds a permit to practice public accounting.

  • Class 1D: Retired, unemployed, or 72 years of age or older

2A (Industry/Government/Education)

Any individual who is a CPA in the state of Oklahoma or any other state or territory of the USA and resides in Oklahoma.

  • Class 2A: Employed in industry, government, or education

2B (Retired/Unemployed/72 or Older)

Any individual who is a CPA in the state of Oklahoma or any other state or territory of the USA and resides in Oklahoma.

  • Class 2B: Retired, student, unemployed, or 72 years of age or older

3 Out-of-State CPA

Any individual who is a CPA but does not reside in Oklahoma.

Nonmember

Someone, CPA or not, who is not currently a member of the OSCPA.

4 - Provisional

Any individual who has passed all four sections of the CPA Examination in Oklahoma or any other state, but has not met one or more of the additional requirements to hold a CPA certifi cate.

5 - Student Member

Any individual who is currently enrolled full- or part-time at any accredited college or university and who is majoring in accounting or a related field. This includes undergraduate and graduate-level programs.
