Overview
Charles Watt, ADA Coordinator for the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services discusses about various viewpoints on disability and their impact on cultural norms. Attendees will learn about various types of disabilities and how they affect issues of daily living as well as best practices for social interaction and respectful communication.

Charles Watt, ADA Coordinator, Oklahoma State Department of Rehabilitation Services
Charles Watt serves as the ADA Coordinator for the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services, where he has worked for over 2 years. He is an ACTCP Certified ADA Coordinator and is designated as an ADA Specialist by the Accessibility Professionals Association, an organization consisting of professionals focusing on accessibility in the built environment. He also holds an ACTCP Advanced Employment Certificate.
He is a member of both the National Network of ADA Trainers and the Leadership Network of the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center. He conducts trainings on various aspects of the ADA for many different state agencies and private groups and organizations.
He recently became one of the first 33 individuals in the country to pass the APAC-BE exam, a new national certification for professionals working in the field of accessibility in the built environment. Mr. Watt can be contacted to conduct training, and/or consult on employment aspects or architectural accessibility requirements of the ADA. These services are provided free of charge as part of his duties for the Dept. of Rehabilitation Services
